I was invited here for lunch with my family, and the lunch buffet did not disappoint! I really enjoy their spicy chicken, wings, jap chae, and kimchi. The service is quick and attentive. I've been here during lunch, and they're very quick to turn tables around, and usually very clean. You can tell the people who come here, are people that frequent this place for the food.

Very tasty food and prices are reasonable. Could use a face lift and it did smell like cigarette smoke when I picked up my order last time but at the end of the day I will definitely go back.

Been coming to the Buffett since 2001. Every time we have a Korean craving this is where we go. Mama is a wonderful person all by herself and she man's all the tables. The service and food are always accommodating and fresh. The ambiance is cheerful and the area is clean. We take family there every time they visit. Nice bathrooms and lots of seating. So good it gets packed for lunch so get there first. 11am-2pm

Do you like Korean Food like alot of Soldiers do after being stationed in S Korea. That's how I discover the great dishes that the Korean people make. Yakimandu ( fried pork/beef/veg dumplings), Japchae (glass noodles w/veg), Kalbi (Beef Flanken), Bulgogi ( sliced thin beef meat with Korean deliciousness). They got also 8-10 different banchan. If you do not know what banchan is, then you must not been to no Korean restaurant lately. All are tasty and worth the price you pay. The place is dated but it's suppose to be that way thinking you are still in S Korea over some neighborhood food joint. A little dusting here and there would be given a 5 stars. I'm just sayin'

E Tae Won Express gets a solid four stars out of my wife and me. We love Korean food and this place serves really comforting and traditional home-style Korean food. The food here is just as good as, if not better than, most of the Korean restaurants we've tried in the Triangle so far. A Korean-American friend, who grew up in the Triangle, told us his parents would often drive from the Triangle to get Korean food in Fayetteville. This is a very low-key, no-frills, mom-and-pop restaurant. You come here for the food, not the ambiance. This is where local Korean people go to get Korean food. For example, on a recent visit, my wife saw three ajummas (Korean aunties) enjoying naengmyeon (cold noodles) for dinner. E Tae Won is located in a small, L-shaped strip mall on the west side of Fayetteville. It's about halfway between Fort Liberty and the VA. During my wife's work rotations at the VA, she'll often call in orders for takeout. E Tae Won doesn't have a website nor official menu online. My wife uses the pictures of the menus on Yelp when deciding what to order over the phone. She's picked up orders and brought them to our home in Chapel Hill. E Tae Won is always a treat for me and we both always look forward to it. The food is tasty, satisfying, and filling. The quality is fresh and good and the portion sizes are generous. Service is great too. What more can you ask for? My wife says it's always the same nice Korean woman that serves her at the counter. Dishes we've had from here include galbi (marinated short ribs), beef and spicy pork bulgogi (two different kinds of marinated sliced meat), bibimbap (mixed rice), tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), yaki mandu (fried Korean dumplings), Korean-style sweet and sour chicken (crispy -- different from the softer Chinese version), pajeon (scallion pancakes), and more. The banchan is excellent too. It's always fresh and delicious. We usually get four different kinds of banchan in one box and one of the selections changes. There's always kimchi, cucumber with gochujang (Korean red chili paste), julienned daikon (radish), and sliced fish cake, plus bean sprouts or seaweed. The kimchi always tastes fresh and homemade. My wife likes that it isn't as salty as most other kimchi. I agree. I recommend all of the dishes I mentioned above except for the yaki mandu. I can take it or leave it. My wife likes it more than me and says if you like dumplings, it might be worth a shot. All of the food is still yummy after sitting in containers for about two hours, mostly on the drive home.

A hole in the wall in the middle of a place where you would never expect good Korean food, etaewons got it. I honestly didn't have any hopes or excitement that I would find this place good but I was totally caught off guard. The bulgogi, spicy pork, sweet and sour chicken, and banchans were all up above the standards. New to Fayetteville and coming from Southern California where Asian food overflows, I have high standards on how Korean food should be, and like I said, Etaewon express has it. I definitely recommend this place and see myself coming here a lot more often. Plus the lady was nice and caring.

Was good food. I defiantly listed the smaller bits of beef compared to larger. I also liked the egg drop soup. The service good. They take Amex but prefer visa/Mastercard cause the fees. Defiantly would go back.

I happened to come to town earlier than I thought from Hampton Roads, VA, so I was eager to pop in to try their lunch buffet. It was quite small, but had all the major essentials- a kimchi bar, jap chae (glass noodles), vegetable fried rice, bulgogi, white rice, fried shrimp & fish, yakimandu (fried mandoo/fried dumplings). I was not disappointed. I was so glad to have finally tried this place, as I've been eyeballing it for over 4 years, but never was able to come down during the open hours. The food was good and I would definitely return again! The service was the best- when I walked in, I did wait for about 5 minutes before sitting down, but they were pretty packed and it was already 1:20 when I arrived on a Friday. The main lady working was so funny and sweet. I heard her talking to a crying baby, and it was so cute.
